SNOW LADY

After having such a horrid past week or so, this is cheering me up having the chance to blog a little!
With it being Black Friday, obviously work decided to put me in to work a 9-6, which meant I would be missing out on a LOT of shopping. Not on my watch! Yep, I spent my entire break mooching around the shops, searching for bargains. Much to my dismay, the offers were pretty poor, and I only purchased one thing, but I am in love with it. I picked up this snowy white coat from H&M. I'd actually spotted it before and regretted not buying it, so I jumped at the chance when I saw it dangling off a rail on it's own. Admittedly, it is a little too big for me, but nothing was going to stop me from buying it! I did receive a measly 10% off it, but for only £35 to begin with, there's not much to complain about.
As the coat is fairly lengthy, and I decided to have it tied, I didn't feel the need to wear any bottoms, (oops!), but I wore my well-loved roll-neck jumper I've had for years underneath for some additional warmth. I love the look of a roll-neck underneath a coat, it looks so 'chic', plus, it keeps you warm!
I've been obsessing over the fluffy heel trend ever since I saw the sneak-peeks from A/W14 press days, and now I own a nude pair, and these black ones from Linzi Shoes! These ones are so practical, (as practical as heels can be), as they zip up at the back, rather than having an awkward strap. It's a little sad how excited I was about that, haha! I love scrolling through all of the shoes on Linzi. They have so many pairs that I fall in love with, so affordable too!

PEACHY KEEN

Following on from my last post, this is another perfect set I purchased from Missguided.  I'd spotted the skirt first as that was the first to be released out of the two on the website, and waiting for the bralet to be released was killing me!! Finally, it was on the website, in all of it's floral scuba glory. Oh, and then straight into my basket. 
I was a little apprehensive about purchasing a midi at first, as I find that they make my hips look mahoooooosive, but the beauty of this one was too much for my hip woes to stand in the way. Funnily enough, it doesn't even do the gross hip thing I was avoiding! It sits perfectly, and both the bralet and skirt are a true-to-size, perfect fit. 
My coat and shoes are both old favourites of mine. My boyfriend bought me this gorgeous peach number for Valentine's day this year, and I wore it to death over the colder months! What a perfect match for this two-piece though?! Praise the lord for me having coats in every single colour!  I also purchased these shoes earlier this year from H&M! I'm normally a size 5 in shoes, but for some reason the 4 fits me perfectly in these? Oh, well. It was the last size anyway! They're not available to buy anymore, but I do see a fair few floating around on Depop, and I highly recommend them as they're the comfiest shoes in the whole entire world. A very bold, yet true, statement.

PRETTY LITTLE RAINBOW

You may be completely sick of seeing me in kimonos by now, but I can't stop!  I've had this one for a little while now, and it's another absolute babe of a kimono from Missguided! The fashion Gods. I think I have around 16 maxi kimonos now, and I'm still not over them. All I can can say is, I seriously wish I had all of them on my holiday!  I actually caught my Mum trying this one on and striking a few poses in the mirror, quite the sight.. quite the sight. I don't blame her though, it's such a beautiful combination of colours, and they compliment each other so well. You could wear this with white pieces, or play on the colours of the kimono for a really funky outfit!
I have this dress in plain white, and I was originally going to wear that, but after bagging this baby in the Topshop sale, it was clearly a match-made in heaven! I'm obsessed with these 'tiered' swing dresses in Topshop, and I find with them being so simple, they're the perfect summer dress. For me, they're a timeless piece in my summer wardrobe as I love to be comfortable in the warmer weather, and dress fairly simply.
These shoes and bag practically live on my blog, and they're the perfect combination with the clean white faux leather look.  (I won't go into them as you've probably heard about them 1,000,000 times!).

As i'd mentioned in my previous post, i'd been shopping with my friend in Manchester. Unfortunately, there wasn't much time to whip the camera out and take some pictures of my outfit, so decided to re-create the look before I go to work today.  Somehow.. accidentally.. I ordered clothes from New Look whilst I'm supposed to be saving.. ANYWAY, I completely fell in love with these two pieces in particular, and they actually go together like a dream!  The top is just a simple 'waffle material' tee, and is possibly the definition of 'smart-casual', as it can be worn for any occasion, (paired with the right clothes).  I seem to have developed a wild obsession with plaid skirts in these gorgeous brushed wool materials, and to-date, I own six, (oops). They're so cute and girly, and with New Look insisting on bringing out new ones all the time, how am I to resist?! I only received these beautiful shoes in the post today, so I hadn't originally wore them with this outfit, but.. wow. How amazing are they?! I recently discovered La Moda through other bloggers, and I haven't looked back since. I can't fault them. From style, to price and to delivery time! I was hoping to purchase the lilac jellies as well, but unfortunately they were out of stock. I highly recommend checking their website out, La Moda, I promise you will be in awe at their stock.  I've shown this coat in a post previously, which you can view following the link 'coat'. I've been using this bag non-stop since it arrived. I can't find it online anymore, but I believe some stores still stock it in H&M. I've found it goes with practically anything because of the light shade of blue, and is the perfect size to carry all of your handbag junk! Also, my dog seemed to enjoy jumping in on my pictures and wondering what on earth I was doing, so he may feature in a few shots!

DATE NIGHT OOTN

Gaaaahhh it's been a week since I last posted!! Not good. I definitely cannot wait for the warmer months to arrive so I can get outside more and take more pictures, but for now, it's whenever i'm not likely to get frostbite!

Anyway, I'd been meaning to do a 'Valentine's' date night outfit, but i'd been busy myself that day so I never got round to it, so I decided to do just a simple 'date night' look that I would personally wear. 

I bought this blazer a little while ago in the Topshop sale and i'd been looking for one for ages!! Regardless of size, I bought it. it's quite oversized on me but I often go for that look for comfort so its not a problem. 

Swing dresses have been my faaaaavourite style of dress for a long time and I've accumulated quite a nice collection! This one is from Glamorous via ASOS and I absolutely love the monochrome stripes. I've worn this during the day and I would dress it up in the evening too with some heels, (like so).

The final touch to this outfit are my beautiful glossy block heels. ASOS do the best block heels in my opinion and they're the perfect height! I'm not someone who can last long in heels on a night out (or for the evening), but these bring me all the way home pain-free. 

(I would have had a bag/clutch with this look but unfortunately I don't own any suitable to go with the outfit! Possibly my next purchase?)

PREPPY MONOCHROME OOTD

Happppppy Valentine's Day! I hope you're having a lovely day however you chose to spend it! I went into my local town centre today for something to do, and my boyfriend bought me this goooorrrrgeous Topshop coat that literally ALL my favourite bloggers have. Zoella and Tanya Burr to name a few.

I was going to go outside and take some date night pictures but again, weather! However, I do have some pictures which we managed to get yesterday so I decided to post those instead.

Again, from my shopping trip to the Trafford Centre, I got this gorgeous white blouse from Primark in Selfridges which I think is so easy to dress down for a light summer outfit, or to smarten up for work/formal occasions. 

I'd been eyeing up the longline cardigan on ASOS for a while now, and I was very tempted to buy it until I spotted this super affordable one from H&M, and since I had a voucher as well, it was sold. It's very lightweight as well so really good for the transition between spring and summer, plus, it gives the outfit a bit of an edge!

Unfortunately, the skirt isn't available anymore as I bought it in the Topshop sale last summer, but I thought it looks really cute and preppy with this shirt tucked into it. 

Ahh, my wonderful Topshop Aubrey 2 dupes! These babies are from Boohoo, and I could not recommend them more, they are amazing. They're so much cheaper than the Topshop boots at just £35 and have a lovely velvet touch! The gold hardware and cut-out detail toughens up any look but still with the basics of a black boot.

WINTER BLUES, SUMMER EDITION OOTD

Due to our work schedules, I won't be able to see my boyfriend until Saturday, who also happens to be my photographer! So today, even though it's painfully freezing here, we decided to venture out into the icy outdoors, (aka my garden), to take some pictures before I was rendered photographer-less, (if that could be a word). 

Recently I went to a little retail park in Widnes, which has all your typical stores: New Look, Outfit and River Island etc. Before going into the first store I had a little word with myself to 'just browse'. Through one ear and out the other! 

In Topshop on the sale racks, I found so many bargains and just as I thought i'd finished, I stumbled across this GORGEOUS kimono, and at £15, it was mine. With the delicate print and baby blues, it goes perfect with this cute little circle skirt I found in the Urban Outfitters sale in the Oxford Street branch last summer. 

The only colour I saw fit to pair with these pieces was white, so I'm wearing my white cropped tank from Topshop and my white heeled gladiator sandals from New Look. 

If you're looking for a pair of these, I strongly suggest checking New Look out, (and quickly), because the prices are a little steep in other stores!
