Can Makeup Really Help Your Skin?

I'm sure at some point in our lives we've all been told that wearing make-up is bad for your skin and yes it is if you don't throughly cleanse your skin after wearing it. One thing we don't hear very often at all is that it's good for your skin! Clinique have formulated a foundation with the view to actually improve our skin overtime for the days we go make-up free.

Personally, I never view foundation as a skincare product, nor do I care if my foundation has any skincare benefits, however after I was using the new Even Better Glow foundation for a couple of days, I knew there was something different with my skin and I couldn't understand why as my skincare routine hadn't changed. I'd completely forgotten about all of the claims the foundation made as I was genuinely just enjoying wearing it each day.

Even Better Glow contains salicylic acid which is what helps to retexturize the skin. I'm not 100% on this one yet as my skins texture is something that really bothers me and I'm very aware of. On the other hand, a lot of people have been telling me that my skin is looking great and when I point out the texture they tell me I'm crazy.. so who knows!

It also contains Vitamin C which has been giving my skin that 'glow' that everybody is after these days. As I've mentioned hundreds of times on my blog, I am an oily skinned girl so 'glowing' isn't necessarily on my agenda but somehow this has created such healthy looking skin with and without make-up. I find myself only reaching for foundation when I have to (e.g. work, occasions), and opting for natural skin otherwise.

Whilst I haven't thrown out all of my skincare products in favour of a foundation, I really struggle to put this down to use something else as I have experienced such positive changes in my skin and I don't want it to stop!

As far as a foundation goes, if you love dewy skin then you will seriously love this. It is so reflective in the most healthy, natural way. It contains luminizing pearl pigments which make you look super radiant. For any oily girls like me, blot down with some translucent powder and you're good to go!

My verdict is.. yes! I believe it can. I've never fed into claims like this before, but I'm so impressed with my results purely from doing my make-up! Hey, if someone can create a concealer that vanishes fine lines under the eyes.. hit me up!

Makeup That Lasts 25 Hours?!

If there's one thing that I get excited to test out more than anything else, it's foundation. Foundation is the make or break of a make-up look for me, if my base isn't right, my face isn't right! (Proud of myself for that one..).

I was so excited to receive the new Rimmel foundation and concealer by Influenster complimentary to test out as I haven't actually tried a Rimmel base product since my first every foundation which was the super well-known Lasting Perfection! I'm open to trying all foundations as some of my all-time favourites are right out of the drugstore. As far as concealer goes, I'm super picky and I almost get anxious when trying a new one incase it goes horribly wrong. My all-time favourite concealer is from the drugstore, so I usually have high hopes that I'll discover a gem!

Now, these products claim to wear for 25 hours. I don't know about you, but I have never and never intend to wear my make-up for 25 hours, but what I draw from that claim is that the product will be super long lasting! After testing out the foundation, I can absolutely confirm that it's super long lasting. I can't officially say 25 hours, but I can say from morning until I take my make-up off at night. It also claims to offer medium coverage and I agree with that. My skin was totally evened out and looked flawless all day with a natural skin-like finish. I also love love love the wand applicator, it's super soft and helps me deposit just the right amount of foundation on my face. This has shot to the top of my favourite drugstore foundations and I catch myself reaching for it over high-end options. If you're looking for a drugstore foundation, this is a great one to try.

For me, the concealer was a miss. I love my full-coverage concealers and this only offers a very light coverage. It does dry down beautifully and keep in place, but for someone who likes their under-eye area to look immaculate, I'll have to pass! If you're looking for a super natural concealer then I think you would be a fan as the formula is great and it still remains long lasting.

I'll definitely be recommending the foundation to people that I know as it's such a great buy! What do you think of drugstore foundations and concealers?

The Beauty Line That Shook The World

You guessed it, it's Fenty Beauty! Yes, Rihanna has released her own make-up line and everyone has lost their minds for it. We were aware she was releasing one in September for a while and I personally wasn't too excited since there's so many new beauty lines coming at us from all directions and it becomes hard to decide what's worth the investment.
As soon as everything was revealed and reviews started hitting the internet, my interest slowly peaked and suddenly I found myself in a two hour queue outside Knightsbridge Harvey Nichols?! Of course, I picked up a few things including the highly coveted foundation.

It seems right to start with the base of your make-up, your primer. If this was priced much more than the £24 it is, I probably wouldn't have made the initial purchase. That aside, I'm so glad that I did as I haven't put it down since! I love when I find a product that I want to use over and over again as being a make-up junkie, products can be easily switched around. It doesn't necessarily blur or 'retouch' my skin, but it feels beautiful and soft and absolutely increased the longevity of my make-up no matter what foundation I use.

I was most excited about this product, as I'm sure everyone is! To begin your brand with a huge launch of 40 foundation shades is super impressive, and I couldn't wait to get matched to my perfect colour and try it for myself. It took all of 10 seconds for the beauty advisor to discover I'm a '250' and I'm very happy with my match. The foundation meshes with my skin beautifully and is virtually undetectable. I'd even go as far as to say my skin looks it's best with this foundation on. Smooth, even yet natural. If you were considering picking this up, I say go now! I'd strongly suggest getting matched in store as the online shade finder is pretty off in my opinion.

I was sure I was going to pick one of the highlighters up but I had a little browse in the store before settling on one of the duos in 'Mean Money/Hustla Baby'. I'm mostly into the blinding highlighters but recently I've enjoyed a more subtle glow. I made a beeline to 'Trophy Wife' and quickly realised it wasn't the highlighter for me, but it looks seriously cool! I opted for the  one above as I thought I'd get much more daily use out of it. 'Mean Money' is super natural, so much so that I can dust it over my face for a beautiful lit from within glow. 'Hustla Baby' is a happy medium between soft glow and light beams on the cheekbones! The other shades in the range don't speak to me as much as this one, but there's absolutely something for everybody.

I can totally see why people have gone crazy for this make-up line, I'm already itching the snap up future products! I'd love to see bronzers and lipsticks! Have you tried Fenty Beauty? Are you interested in the new hottest make-up line?

Must Have Products For A Flawless Base

I've been trying so many new products recently, and I have bucket-loads of content to share. I really didn't know where to begin, but I was bursting to share these two items with you as they've teamed together to create my most flawless skin yet.

Too Faced is a brand I more or less always have successes with, but having products become firm favourites in my make-up routine takes something extra special.

I'm kind of late to the party with this primer.. oops. I'd wanted to try it since it was raved about from people I know to huge influencers and finally I have! I struggle to get obsessed with a primer as I'm not entirely sure they're ever 'life-changing', (as I totally expect all of my make-up to be). I usually look at how a primer instantly makes my skin look when judging a primer as opposed to the longevity, (seems a bit silly really), but this is possibly the first time I've felt like my make-up stays put and I can go the whole day without sigh-ing at patchy foundation. In regards to reviving my skin I'm not sure I can comment as I'm quite an oily gal meaning my skin is pretty lively anyway, but it feels so refreshing and rejuvenating. I must comment on the scent which smells just like coconut water. I do like the scent, but it definitely has that 'earthy' vibe. Overall this is a killer product, and I have my eyes on the setting spray next.

Please. Stop what you're doing and purchase this powder immediately. It's that life-changing. I really hadn't heard much about this powder before buying it, but like I said above, I'm usually pretty successful when it comes to Too Faced products, so I had reasonable hope. I felt like I hadn't found the setting powder of my dreams. Sure, I love the Laura Mercier powder, the Kat Von D one passes, but I really wanted one that was going to take my base to astronomical levels. (Really, I don't ask for much!).
PS, if you hadn't already guessed.. I found it!
This powder blurs my skin out to perfection. It's like looking at my skin without glasses on aka a dream. I don't find it drying under my eyes yet it keeps my concealer in place with not a crease in sight. My only complaint is the packaging as it has this odd lid on top that means I struggle to dispense the product. A minor problem but one to mention for sure.
If you're on the market for a new setting powder, or even if you're not and you couldn't care less about a setting powder, please give this one a go!

Who knew I could write a short story on a setting powder? Let's call it passion for make-up..
Let me know below your favourite products for your flawless base!

Multi-Masking With L'Oreal

I've been wanting to do this post for so long, since the first three L'Oreal masks launched actually. I'm glad I held out a little longer as they've added two new masks to the range! It's about time a drugstore brand brought out a range of face masks catered to everyones individual concerns. I wasn't familiar with the concept of 'multi-masking' until L'Oreal launched a huge campaign around it. It's a combination skin types dream. It's so common to have a variety of skin concerns and we should be able to combat them all, and now we can do so on a budget!

Let's begin with the first three masks that L'Oreal launched for this collection. The Detox MaskGlow Mask & the Purity Mask. I love the Detox mask. It really does give my skin the overhaul that it needs, drawing out built up impurities and allowing my pores to breathe. This is great for the t-zone where most of our 'gunk' builds up, so I like to accompany this with the Glow mask which I use on my cheeks and chin. The Glow mask is great for sloughing away dead skin cells and retexturing the skin giving it the 'glow'. My only qualm with this product is that the exfoliating beads stick around a little longer than I'd like! This is generally a problem I have with most exfoliating masks, and it really bugs me. The Purity mask is similar to the Detox mask in the sense that it purifies and deep cleanses the skin. The ingredients in the two are very similar, so I'd only suggest purchasing one if you're looking at them!

Here are the two newbies on the scene! The Blemish Rescue Mask and the Bright Mask. My eyes were drawn the the Blemish Rescue mask instantly as that's another problem area for me. I have to say, I'm not really won over by this product as I don't feel it tackled any concerns for my skin. My skin felt like it could breathe after use, but I don't feel it treated my blemishes. As far as multi-masking goes with a blemish mask, I love using it as a spot treatment, and using other masks to target other areas of my skin!
I purchased the Bright mask to complete the collection despite it not being something I was too concerned with. It turns out that this is one of my favourites of all of the masks as you can feel it getting to work on your skin. This is another one I would use on my cheeks and chin, and opt for a deep cleansing mask for my t-zone. I 100% prefer this to the glow mask as it has natural exfoliators in it as opposed to actual beads!

For £7.99, I definitely recommend finding a couple of masks that suit your skin concerns and playing around with multi-masking. Each mask only needs to be on the skin for 10 minutes which is perfect for a mid-week pamper. Let me know in the comments if you've tried any of these masks out, or if you're a fan of multi-masking too!

Beauty Trends - Liquid Highlighters

I'm back with another beauty trends post! This time I want to discuss liquid highlighters. They've been around for quite some time, but it's only recently that we're seeing brands of all shapes and sizes release their own take on the trend.

Liquid highlighting isn't my first choice for a few reasons. Finding a formula that works alongside your foundations and other make-up is quite the challenge. Who else has done a full face of make-up only to trip at the last hurdle with a dodgy liquid highlighter?! That, and the more subtle finish is generally what steers me away. Because of this, I don't own a huge amount of them in comparison to my ever-growing powder highlighter collection, but the ones that I do own caught my eye.

Shades L to R - Rose Quartz, Aquamarine, Aventurine & Amethyst

If you know me, you'll know I'll buy pretty much anything Colour Pop releases. I was particularly interested in the 'Crystal' collection as it was a whole host of products that Colour Pop had never created before. Since the price is always right, I decided to pick up all four of the liquid highlighters to put to the test.

I've tried them a variety of ways, mixing them in with my foundation and using them as intended, a liquid highlighter. With them being that on-trend holographic effect, mixing them with foundation isn't a great option as they alter the colour of my foundation. However, they were beautiful as an actual liquid highlighter! I was pleasantly surprised when I dabbed on the product to my cheekbones and was left with a beautiful duochrome luminosity. Yes, they are subtle, but the shift in colour makes them much more interesting than your average highlighter.

These are genuinely a game changer when it comes to liquid highlighters. They don't come cheap, but they certainly pack a punch. This is the only liquid highlighter I've found that isn't subtle and provides an intense glow with one drop! There's quite a few different shades, but I opted for a classic icy champagne colour. I'm not sure you'd need more than one of these unless you're a die-hard fan, but as far as liquid highlighters go, these are in the lead!

This is a two-in-one product from Urban Decay, but all about 'that glow'. The prime function of this product is to mix it in with your foundation to create an illuminated base, but you can definitely use it to light up your cheekbones with an ethereal glow. I prefer it as the mix in medium, but it definitely adds a slightly radioactive looking effect if you add too much so be careful! As you can probably tell, I can't resist the more unusual shades of highlight so if you're like me, you'd love this tone of blue glistening on your cheekbones.

That's all I have for liquid highlighters! I know so many people who opt for these over the powder option, it really depends on your preference! I'm sure there's one that suits everybody's taste, whether it's mixed in with your foundation, or dabbed on the high points of your face. Let me know in the comments any that you've found that you love!

L'Oreal Paradise Collection - Is It Worth The Hype?

I first spotted this collection rearing it's head through US beauty bloggers social media channels and from the rave reviews, I couldn't wait for it to hit the UK! I was initially only aware of the mascara being released but during my Superdrug sweep, I saw a collection of 'Paradise' products which swiftly ended up in my basket. It's always exciting when the drugstore comes out with new products and it's even better when they rival the higher end brands. The question is, is it worth it?

The mascara has to be first! I'm sure we all know that L'Oreal do some of the best mascaras on the market, so I was eager to try this one especially as every person who's tried it has sung it's praises. I've used it every single day since I purchased it and it truly is amazing and in keeping with L'Oreal's quality mascaras. The wand is around medium size with a fibre brush and the formula is enriched with castor oil, (amazing for lashes!).
I'll mention that this is the first mascara that has transferred when used on my lower lashes. I'm not sure what the cause of that is, but I had to resign this as my lower lash mascara and only use it for the top! That aside, it lengthens my lashes whilst also adding the right amount of volume. Whether you're looking for a new mascara or not, this is worth giving a go!

I had no knowledge of this product until I saw it in Superdrug and I'm so surprised! How is this not shouted about more?! I mean, it's a direct dupe to my holy grail brow product Benefit's 'Ka-Brow'. That conclusion is based on the packaging and innovation solely as the formula is quite different. I got mine in the shade 'Brunette' which is the second darkest shade in the range. I'm so impressed with the components, the brush is super fine and stiff enough to create perfect brows. My stance on the actual pomade formula is that it could do with a bit of work. It's not as creamy as the pomades I'm used to and has the slightest waxy feel to it, but for a drugstore alternative, I'm happy with it.

I know there is a kajal liner that is part of the 'Paradise' range, but I'm pretty stuck in my ways with eyeliners so it takes some top recommendations for me to pick up something different!

What do you think of the L'Oreal Paradise range? Is it something you'd be interested in? I'd say the two products I've tried are definitely worth trying out and I hope this brow pomade is paving the way for other drugstore brands to create their own version!

The Most Talked About Palette Of 2017

Of course, it's the Jaclyn Hill X Morphe palette! We all knew Jaclyn was creating something magnificent with all of the social media hints dropped over the past months, and I'm pretty sure we were all hoping it would be the most 'bomb' eyeshadow palette to hit the scene.
This palette has drawn so much controversy, (beats me why?!), but nonetheless it's been hot topic for the beauty community whether it's good or bad.
As a huge supporter of both Jaclyn Hill and Morphe, I was pretty confident I'd be purchasing the palette. Upon seeing the swatches, like most people I just freaked out and had to have it! I did try to get it during the initial launch. I waited 45 minutes in a virtual queue and was unsuccessful and very disappointed, but luckily I was able to get it on the restock!

The shade range is perfect for me, a large selection of warm tones but with pops of colour! I'm already a huge fan of Morphe eyeshadows, so to hear that the formula of these is even better was very interesting to me. Let's get into the swatches!

As you can see, the eyeshadows are crazy pigmented. The last four on the bottom row were a little patchy, but from a personal preference I'm not too fussed as they're the shades I'm least likely to reach for. The metallics were all incredibly buttery and intensely pigmented and they apply to the eye just as well as they swatch! The mattes are the same quality as the original Morphe matte eyeshadows, some are slightly softer to touch, but both are amazing quality anyway and super blendable.

The price of this palette was hiked up quite a bit in comparison to the usual £22ish price point, the only difference being the quality is supposedly better. Whether or not the quality of the eyeshadows is better than former Morphe palettes, the quality is outstanding and definitely worth the $38. I'm disappointed there's no mirror as this would be perfect for travelling, but I'll manage as I always do! I'm also so confused as to why shipping to the UK is so expensive? Surely such a huge company can seek out better shipping options? Who knows, maybe in the future!

You can tell Jaclyn has put her heart and soul into this palette, everything is done to perfection and this is such a great palette to have in your collection. Whether you have one palette or one hundred, this one will definitely have a place in your stash. I hope to see Morphe continuing this great quality whilst maintaining their initial price point!

I'd love to know if any of you have tried Morphe products? What do you think of the brand?

Huda Beauty - Is It Worth It?

I've been wanting to write about Huda Beauty for quite some time now. Since I first discovered the brand, the family, the empire, I've been a loyal fan and consumer. If you know anything about the beauty community, you know about Huda Beauty. Huda and her family have created a brand that caters to every person and every trend, providing exceptional quality. I think this initial write up answers the question in my title, but read further for more in-depth reviews on each of her products, (so far!).

It would be wrong not to start with the product that whisked the brand off its feet, lashes! For the longest time Huda Beauty consisted of beautiful false lashes before venturing into other beauty products. I picked up my first ever pair from Dubai of all places! It's actually the pair of Samantha lashes you see in the picture above. It's the one pair of lashes I will never use, purely because it holds a lot of great memories and reminders for me. Memories of a life-changing trip to Dubai, and a reminder that anything is possible. Work hard, and you can achieve everything you've ever dreamed of.
Despite not using this particular pair, I can confirm that the Huda Beauty lashes are crafted to perfection and look absolutely beautiful. There's so many styles catered for everybody, so have a browse and find your perfect lash!

Shades L to R - Icon & Trendsetter

The first make-up product to launch was the lip contours aka lip liners. Whilst the beauty community isn't short of lip liners, there's something about Hudas innovation that made these so desirable for myself and others. They glide on super soft and really shape and prep  the lips for your lipstick. Any fine lines on my lips are diffused when I use this as an all over lip colour, I do love topping it with a liquid matte though! I want to pick up a few more of these as they're staples in my collection.

Shades L to R - Venus, Muse, Medusa, Spice Girl, Flirt and Trophy Wife

The Huda Beauty liquid mattes were highly anticipated by many, including myself! After seeing sneak peeks on the Kattan family Snapchats, I'd already clocked all of the shades I was going to be purchasing. Obviously, I picked up all of the nudes suitable for my taste and still find these to be my go-to for a liquid matte. The formula is ultra thin and lightweight meaning it doesn't dry out my lips or look 'cakey'. They also smell like a tropical coconut holiday which I absolutely adore! If I could bottle that scent and use it as a perfume I 100% would. There's even more shades in the range now, and I've definitely eyed a few up!! If you were to ask me what my favourite liquid lipstick formula was, Huda's win every time.

Shades L to R - Bossy,  Rose Gold, Angelic, Flamingo, Henna & Moon Dust

I don't know how she does it, but as soon as Huda announces a new product, I've already mentally wired her the money for the product. That's what happened when the 3D Textured Rose Gold palette was released. I knew it would be pricey, but I was adamant it would be mine. £56 later, I dived into my dream palette head first. It's full to the brim with rich warm tones, plums, pinks and of course the innovative textured shadow formula. The textured shadows definitely should be applied with your finger as they're not your typical glitter shadow! They look like foil on the eyelids, it's incredible! There are a couple of regular metallic shadows too which I opt for when I don't want to fuss around too much with my make-up that day. I've swatched a few of my favourite shades, including a textured shadow!

Shades L to R - Fiji, Seychelles, Tahiti & Zanzibar

Another twist on a cult product! The '3D Highlighter'. You'd wonder what could be done next in the beauty community, and the Huda Beauty team is always one step ahead! The idea of this palette is to create a 3D-like appearance using a variety of highlighter tones. I picked up the Golden Sands edition as they're the shades I generally reach for most, but there's also a palette called Pink Sands that I still want to add to my collection! The melted strobe is a rich buttery cream highlighter made with real pearls and shea butter. This can be used alone, but I love topping it with the powder highlighters. There is in detail instructions on how to create the 3D effect, but I like using these to my individual taste! I'm completely eyeing up the new Summer Solstice palette with that stunning purple!

Shades L to R - Enchanting & Shameless

The latest product released by Huda Beauty is the lip strobes! I'm so glad that these launched at a time where I've totally got into glossy lips. The shade range is gorgeous, full of shimmering unusual glosses. I say unusual as there's so many different micro glitters in them and shifts of different colour. I picked up two that caught my eye the most, but there's so many more that I want! Enchanting is a light gloss with a pink shift rippling through which looks stunning in the light. Shameless is slightly red-based, with gold and pink glitters. I love dabbing these over nude lipsticks for a different effect. Oh, I should mention that they're non-sticky! Praise the Lord!

I'm so excited to see what's next for the brand. I know that they're bringing foundation out which I can't wait to buy!! If you wanted to try Huda Beauty products, you need to go for it. A brand you can 100% trust in quality. I'd also suggest keeping up with the family too, they're so beautiful inside and out and inspire me every day!

Top Summer Bronzers - Drugstore and High End

I love a bronze-y look pretty much all year round, but there's something about the Summer months that really make me want to dive head first into my bronzer collection, (obviously fully expecting to look like Beyoncé..). I don't like things too red, too orange or too glittery, so choosing the perfect bronzers can sometimes be struggle, particularly in the drugstore when most of the bronzers tend to be saturated in shimmers.
I've narrowed it down to my go-tos from both drugstore and high-end, so hopefully you'll find a new bronzer to fall in love with!

The e.l.f bronzer is actually a duo with a blush, so I guess you're really getting bang for your buck with this product! The blush is actually a little bit too light for my skin tone, so I'm just focusing on the bronzer. It's such a beautiful toasty brown that really brings warmth to your complexion. If you're looking for a little on-the-go palette, this is the perfect package as it comes with a sizeable mirror too! I'd say this is great for light-medium/medium skin tones, and they do lots of other duos with different tones, so there'll definitely be a perfect match for you.

The new Max Factor bronzer has fast become my current favourite! It pretty much goes against everything I like in a face product, yet somehow it's perfect! When I say it goes against everything, I'm talking about the fact that it's visibly loaded with shimmers AND it's baked, (I'm not too fond of baked products). I'd actually been looking at this bronzer for a while, but I was so sure I wouldn't like it when it was on that I'd put off purchasing until the right offer came along, (hello Boots 2 for 3!). It creates the most perfect golden bronze-y glow, and adds just the right amount of shadow on my skin. The shimmer is undetectable, instead creating a super natural glow. If you're looking for a new affordable bronzer for the Summer, this is my top recommendation.

I've spoken about the Sephora Bali bronzer hundreds of times on my blog, so I won't ramble on too much, but if you're able to get it, it truly is one of the most beautiful bronzers! A perfect mixture of warm and cool tones, and blends like a dream. I'm going to be so sad the day I run out of this little gem! It ain't easy for us UK girls who love Sephora!

One that's definitely not new on the scene, but that's certainly a cult favourite is the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. They've extended the Hoola franchise into creams and liquids, also bringing out a lighter version of everyones favourite bronzer. I'm a true fan of the original Hoola bronzer, and I find it works on my skin tone no matter how it differs throughout the seasons. It's actually pretty similar to the Sephora bronzer in terms of colour, it's the perfect mixture of warm and cool meaning it also provides a subtle contour too. I tend to use bronzing products the same way I would a contour powder, and I love Hoola for this.

Ahhhh, this is the real deal when it comes to 'high-end' products. Tom Ford is the business, and if you're spending some serious money on your make-up, it better be the best thing you ever put on your face. I picked up the Tom Ford 'Terra' bronzer after some serious hype over it, and it truly is worth it. Particularly with the amount of product you get in the pan, it marginally justifies the whopping price-point! It's slightly warmer than the other bronzers, but definitely not orange and there's absolutely zero fall-out. If you're in the market for splashing out on a bronzer or if you're a luxury beauty fanatic, it's definitely one to add to the collection as it will last a life-time.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and maybe discovered some new bronzers to check out! Feel free to suggest some more that I might like too!

How I Deal With Problem Skin

Ahh, the joys of problem skin. You think you're having a great skin day, and then a spot rears its ugly head. I get my fair share of problem skin, I have done since I was a young teenager. In the past few years, I've mostly suffered from persistent breakouts on my cheeks, if it's not one side, it's the other and I never get a break! Recently, I had a huge breakout of spots on my forehead, I'm not sure why, but it happened. I picked up a product that I haven't grabbed for since I was a teenager, and boy has it made a difference.

I picked up the Clinique Anti Blemish Cleansing Foam as I had been faithful to this range when I was a spotty teen in need! I know my skin isn't in a state where it requires the full 3 step system, but one product from the range is all my skin has needed to prevent these pesky little bumps. It's a simple cleansing foam, with anti-bacterial properties which help to fight and prevent breakouts and it does just the job!
I team this with my Sonic brush, a staple in my skincare routine since February of this year. Since using this brush alongside my cleanser of choice, I've noticed a tremendous difference in the texture and appearance of my skin. You can purchase this with an anti bacterial cleansing head, but I'm find with the regular head! It doesn't come cheap, but it's a worth-while investment.

Treatment products! Sometimes cleansing your skin with the right products just isn't enough. When my skin is a little shabby, I reach for my masks and my drying lotion. My favourite mask for problem skin is the Origins 'Out of Trouble' mask. You leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse away with warm water revealing squeaky clean skin with a lot less redness! I usually apply it where I need it as it can be a little drying where it's not wanted.
As an overnight treatment, I dip a cotton bud into the Mario Badescu trying lotion and apply it onto any blemishes and ones that are beginning to rise. This doesn't shift them overnight, but it starts to kill them in their tracks!

Finally, hydrate!! After using all of those drying products, it's so important to keep the skin hydrated. I used to think my excessively oily skin didn't need any additional moisture, but using a good oil-free moisturiser massively changed the game. It rebalances my skin, meaning I'm not over producing oil to compensate for a lack of moisture and in turn getting more breakouts! Products aside, I've also been drinking so much more water, and my skin is super happy about it.

I hope this post was useful for anyone who's having some trouble with their skin! Let me know any products that you love to use to help your skin out!
