The Most Talked About Palette Of 2017

Of course, it's the Jaclyn Hill X Morphe palette! We all knew Jaclyn was creating something magnificent with all of the social media hints dropped over the past months, and I'm pretty sure we were all hoping it would be the most 'bomb' eyeshadow palette to hit the scene.
This palette has drawn so much controversy, (beats me why?!), but nonetheless it's been hot topic for the beauty community whether it's good or bad.
As a huge supporter of both Jaclyn Hill and Morphe, I was pretty confident I'd be purchasing the palette. Upon seeing the swatches, like most people I just freaked out and had to have it! I did try to get it during the initial launch. I waited 45 minutes in a virtual queue and was unsuccessful and very disappointed, but luckily I was able to get it on the restock!

The shade range is perfect for me, a large selection of warm tones but with pops of colour! I'm already a huge fan of Morphe eyeshadows, so to hear that the formula of these is even better was very interesting to me. Let's get into the swatches!

As you can see, the eyeshadows are crazy pigmented. The last four on the bottom row were a little patchy, but from a personal preference I'm not too fussed as they're the shades I'm least likely to reach for. The metallics were all incredibly buttery and intensely pigmented and they apply to the eye just as well as they swatch! The mattes are the same quality as the original Morphe matte eyeshadows, some are slightly softer to touch, but both are amazing quality anyway and super blendable.

The price of this palette was hiked up quite a bit in comparison to the usual £22ish price point, the only difference being the quality is supposedly better. Whether or not the quality of the eyeshadows is better than former Morphe palettes, the quality is outstanding and definitely worth the $38. I'm disappointed there's no mirror as this would be perfect for travelling, but I'll manage as I always do! I'm also so confused as to why shipping to the UK is so expensive? Surely such a huge company can seek out better shipping options? Who knows, maybe in the future!

You can tell Jaclyn has put her heart and soul into this palette, everything is done to perfection and this is such a great palette to have in your collection. Whether you have one palette or one hundred, this one will definitely have a place in your stash. I hope to see Morphe continuing this great quality whilst maintaining their initial price point!

I'd love to know if any of you have tried Morphe products? What do you think of the brand?

Influencer Collabs & Why We Should Support Them

More and more we're seeing our favourite social media influencers teaming up with huge brands to bring us exciting products they've collaborated on. I, for one, get so excited about these launches in particular because I know that these products have been perfected by people who's opinions we trust, and recommendations we swear by.

Over the past year or so, there's been a huge increase in influencer collaborations, and I generally purchase every collaboration from somebody I'm a huge fan of in support, but I also like to explore with influencers I'm not so familiar with!

I don't know about you guys, (those who don't live in the USA), but have you ever tried purchasing directly from the Morphe website? The shipping fees are astronomical! Thankfully we can get the majority of their products from places like Beauty Bay and Cult Beauty, but unfortunately, their collaborations only ever seem to be available on their website! (I was a very lucky birthday girl, and received this as a gift).

I had never heard of Deysi Danger until this collaboration, but as a huge fan of Morphe, I trusted this would be of excellent quality. There's a variety of shades and finishes for all skin types and preferences. I personally favour the bottom row, with the beautiful golden tones, but there's a lovely mix of pinks, duochromes, and even two matte shades! You can see the thought and attention thats gone into this palette, to ensure there's something suitable for everybody. Big thumbs up from me!

This is one HELL of a collaboration. One of the top beauty vloggers and top beauty brands joining forces to create a capsule collection. I'm constantly in awe of Nikkie, and her insane talent, so it didn't really matter what she came out with, I was having it!
She carefully put together a beautiful palette, along with a purple 'Better Than Sex' mascara, full-size sketch liner, glitter pigment and a small shadow insurance.

I was actually in London at the time of her meet up and release in Debenhams, so I swung by to check it out! I'm not patient enough to queue for hours, but I got so close to Nikkie! I can't believe I saw her in the flesh, crazy. Anyway, I grabbed my palette and went about my day.
I wasn't actually all too excited about this, as I'm usually a 'warm-tones-only' kinda gal, however, I've used this so much! I'm particularly loving the bottom half, (hah).

The last collaboration I wanted to share with you is brought to us by one of my all-time favourite vloggers, Kathleen Lights. I purchased this some time last year, and it actually introduced me to one of my favourite liquid lipstick brands! Another benefit of these collaborations is often discovering new holy grail beauty brands! Ofra is a brand I'd never even heard of until this collaboration, and now I have an extensive collection of their liquid lipsticks and their highlighters.

I'm loving how involved brands are getting bloggers and vloggers in the industry. It's so much more personal than them picking any old celebrity off the red carpet to slap their name on the front of something they have no idea about, and you can guarantee you'll love the product!

Have any of your purchased an influencer collaboration? Have you discovered new brands/influencers through these? Comment below!

Must-Have Warm Eyeshadow Palettes

I couldn't think of any better way to return to blogging than with a post about warm eyeshadows. My love. I decided to gather my ultimate warm eyeshadow palettes that I seriously recommend you investing in. Some of them are of a lower price-point, and some are slightly pricer.. particularly one, but they're all of incredible quality and I gravitate to these most.

This palette is one of my all-time favourite palettes. The shade range is spot on, and so is the quality. There's a perfect variety of mattes and shimmers, and I've created so many different looks using this palette. It's currently on sale on Love Makeup, and is linked above! It's quite a small palette, and it has a decent sized mirror making it perfect for travelling too.
I'll let those swatches do the talking.. sweet mother of God.

This palette is for everybody in my opinion. It comes in the most gorgeous, sleek packaging, and contains ten warm, chocolatey shades. There are more shimmers than mattes, but the mattes are absolutely incredible! The shades 'substitute for love', and 'freshly toasted' are my dream crease shades. As with all Zoeva eyeshadows, the quality is amazing, and very well-priced too!

I'm pretty confident that I've done a post on this palette, but if I haven't, then I definitely should have. It's the most amazing product that Makeup Revolution has ever come out with. The shade range is insane, and they've really taken note of the 2015 'marsala' trend. I will mention that the glittery shades aren't necessarily my favourite, and they're a little chunky, but the mattes.. THE MATTES. Good Lord, I get palpitations every time I use them! For £6.99, I'm happy to avoid the shimmers, so I definitely recommend this palette.

Now this is one pricey little guy. I've only swatched the top two rows as the bottom row consists of cool-tones. Unfortunately, these swatches don't do these eyeshadows any justice, but they are absolutely incredible. They're so easily blendable, super pigmented and are perfect for any look you want to create. It's definitely an investment piece, and not something I see your 'everyday make-up user' purchasing.. but if you're a make-up junkie like me, I'd definitely consider picking this up for your collection!

So this palette has been heavily covered by the beauty community over the past six or so months, and for a damn good reason. This is the mother of all warm palettes. Morphe did an excellent job with this, and it's on everybody wish-list! Unfortunately, this is often sold out, so if you find one in stock, don't even think about it, just snap it up immediately! There's a mixture of mattes, duochromes, foiled eyeshadows and shimmers. I've only swatched a selection of shades from the palette, but as you can see they're all so pigmented. They also blend beautifully, and for the price, you seriously can't go wrong.

So there we have it! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and please let me know what your favourite warm palettes are? I clearly can never have enough!
