CHUNKY BOOTS (PRIMARK EDITION)

I've been waiting what feels like forever for payday to arrive, and now it finally has, a little (a lot) of shopping was in order! As me and my boyfriend were popping into Manchester to pay off our holiday, we decided to visit a few shops.
First stop of course, was Primark. I thought i'd share two of my favourite things I'd purchased as you would not believe its Primark!
As a Vagabond fanatic, i'm always lusting after their chunky boots and heeled shoes, however, i'm also always looking out for cheaper alternatives. Little did I know that Primark was stocking some of the best dupes i've ever seen!!
The timing of me finding these was incredible as I about to purchase a Vagabond pair similar to the first shoes shown below, and a New Look pair the same as the last pair of shoes.
Surely me getting these could be classed as 'saving money', right?

REVLON MATTE BALMS

My first 'beauty' post in a while and second in total I believe! I'm not totally clued up as far as beauty products are concerned, but I do enjoy using and trying out new products so I will occasionally add my input.
Yesterday, I popped into my local Boots to pick up a couple of the new Revlon Matte Balms. I'd seen them a week prior, and since then YouTube has gone MAD for them so I knew I had to try it. They are £7.99 each so they're a little pricey, but for what you get it's definitely reasonable, (also Boots had their 3 for 2 offer on so I took advantage of that).
I'm completely obsessed with deep reds and purples and I own a pretty large collection of them, so I decided its time I should branch out a little into some more spring/summer shades, (funnily enough its pouring it down as i'm typing this so I don't feel so summery!).
With the help of my boyfriend, I narrowed it down to three shades which are; Elusive, Audacious and Sultry.
Elusive is a bright, yet nude-y pink, which is perfect for me as super light pink lips don't suit me, (I can't pull off the Barbie look).
Audacious is what i'd describe as a 'hot orange'. I have never owned an orange lipstick before as i've never found one that suited me, but this is a really pretty shade that hopefully i'll be able to make work!
Sultry is possibly my favourite of the three. I'm not sure if this makes any sense, but its sort of a 'nude raspberry'. Maybe you'll be able to tell from the swatch, but its a really gorgeous deep nude pink and i'm pretty sure ill be wearing this all the time.
The benefit of these being matte balms is that you don't get those dry lips you get from matte lipsticks as the balm moisturises your lips! The colour pay off is excellent and I definitely recommend.

DATE NIGHT OOTN

Gaaaahhh it's been a week since I last posted!! Not good. I definitely cannot wait for the warmer months to arrive so I can get outside more and take more pictures, but for now, it's whenever i'm not likely to get frostbite!
Anyway, I'd been meaning to do a 'Valentine's' date night outfit, but i'd been busy myself that day so I never got round to it, so I decided to do just a simple 'date night' look that I would personally wear.
I bought this blazer a little while ago in the Topshop sale and i'd been looking for one for ages!! Regardless of size, I bought it. it's quite oversized on me but I often go for that look for comfort so its not a problem.
Swing dresses have been my faaaaavourite style of dress for a long time and I've accumulated quite a nice collection! This one is from Glamorous via ASOS and I absolutely love the monochrome stripes. I've worn this during the day and I would dress it up in the evening too with some heels, (like so).
The final touch to this outfit are my beautiful glossy block heels. ASOS do the best block heels in my opinion and they're the perfect height! I'm not someone who can last long in heels on a night out (or for the evening), but these bring me all the way home pain-free.

(I would have had a bag/clutch with this look but unfortunately I don't own any suitable to go with the outfit! Possibly my next purchase?)

PREPPY MONOCHROME OOTD

Happppppy Valentine's Day! I hope you're having a lovely day however you chose to spend it! I went into my local town centre today for something to do, and my boyfriend bought me this goooorrrrgeous Topshop coat that literally ALL my favourite bloggers have. Zoella and Tanya Burr to name a few.
I was going to go outside and take some date night pictures but again, weather! However, I do have some pictures which we managed to get yesterday so I decided to post those instead.
Again, from my shopping trip to the Trafford Centre, I got this gorgeous white blouse from Primark in Selfridges which I think is so easy to dress down for a light summer outfit, or to smarten up for work/formal occasions.
I'd been eyeing up the longline cardigan on ASOS for a while now, and I was very tempted to buy it until I spotted this super affordable one from H&M, and since I had a voucher as well, it was sold. It's very lightweight as well so really good for the transition between spring and summer, plus, it gives the outfit a bit of an edge!
Unfortunately, the skirt isn't available anymore as I bought it in the Topshop sale last summer, but I thought it looks really cute and preppy with this shirt tucked into it.
Ahh, my wonderful Topshop Aubrey 2 dupes! These babies are from Boohoo, and I could not recommend them more, they are amazing. They're so much cheaper than the Topshop boots at just £35 and have a lovely velvet touch! The gold hardware and cut-out detail toughens up any look but still with the basics of a black boot.

 Thanks, wind!

RIBBED CROP & PVC OOTD

First of all, i'd like to apologise for not posting for almost a week! I've been super ill with the flu AND my boyfriend caught it as well, so when I began to feel better, my photographer was out of action! We're both feeling a lot better now, so weather permitting, we managed to get outside today and get a couple of shots before it started spitting!
Introduction over, recently I went to the Trafford Centre with my mum and in the short time we had, I managed to pick up quite a few things, including some bargains from the topshop sale, (which i'll do an outfit post on soon hopefully).
I've been dying to get to a Zara after seeing some amazing pieces online and on other bloggers, so I was pleased to get a chance to go there as my local one was taken down. I picked up this gorgeous ribbed polo neck crop top for only £7.99! I've been looking for one of these for AGES, but they've always been stupidly expensive or out of stock so I was made up.
I purchased this skirt a while back from River Island (via ASOS). It's such a gorgeous shocking bubblegum pink and I think it adds a huge pop of colour and edge to a simple outfit.
I've had these Vagabonds for around a year now, and they're the comfiest heeled boots I own. Literally, i've worn these for a whole day around Manchester and not struggled at all! A huge bonus in my opinion.

MISSGUIDED SPRING PASTELS 14'

Whilst doing my daily, (hourly) browsing online, I spotted a number of spring gems that are going to be staples in my wardrobe this season when I finally get a hold of them! Pastels have always been my favourite and that fact that they always make an appearance during spring and summer makes me very happy, (not so much my bank balance).
If you know anything about Missguided, you'll know that they stock THE best on-trend products and the price tag makes it even more appealing.
I wish I was super rich so I could just fill my basket up and wait on all of the beautiful pastels, checks and ginghams to arrive, but for now I shall just hang tight until payday!

These are my current favourites, however it was so difficult to narrow it down!

Just look how gorgeous these cute little gingham jumpers are! I also can't resist a daisy print.

WINTER BLUES, SUMMER EDITION OOTD

Due to our work schedules, I won't be able to see my boyfriend until Saturday, who also happens to be my photographer! So today, even though it's painfully freezing here, we decided to venture out into the icy outdoors, (aka my garden), to take some pictures before I was rendered photographer-less, (if that could be a word).
Recently I went to a little retail park in Widnes, which has all your typical stores: New Look, Outfit and River Island etc. Before going into the first store I had a little word with myself to 'just browse'. Through one ear and out the other!
In Topshop on the sale racks, I found so many bargains and just as I thought i'd finished, I stumbled across this GORGEOUS kimono, and at £15, it was mine. With the delicate print and baby blues, it goes perfect with this cute little circle skirt I found in the Urban Outfitters sale in the Oxford Street branch last summer.
The only colour I saw fit to pair with these pieces was white, so I'm wearing my white cropped tank from Topshop and my white heeled gladiator sandals from New Look.
If you're looking for a pair of these, I strongly suggest checking New Look out, (and quickly), because the prices are a little steep in other stores!

THE LIEBSTER AWARD

INTRO

I was so shocked and extremely flattered to notice i'd been tagged by one of my FAVOURITE bloggers to do this tag post. I highly recommend her blog and her style is absolutely amazing and one of my style inspirations, (view her blog here). From what i've read, it's supposed to be a really good way for upcoming bloggers/new bloggers to get into the 'blogging' community so i'm really excited to do this!

RULES

You must link back the person who nominated you. You must answer the 11 questions given to you by the nominee before you. You must pick 11 nominees with under 200 followers to answer your questions. You cannot nominate the person who nominated you. You must let the people who you nominate know they have been nominated. Simples!

CHARLOTTE'S QUESTIONS

1. What is the weirdest thing you have eaten?

This is probably going to be quite a boring answer considering I have such a small food palette, but I suppose considering I don't think a lot of people do this, probably cottage pie mixed with rice? Haha, it does actually sound pretty gross.

2. What is your favourite city?

I won't chose the cliché answer of New York, (even though I love it there), so i'd probably say London! Most of my family live there even though I live up North, so I do spend a lot of time there and its such a lovely place to experience, (especially the shopping!).

3. What is your item of the month?

We're only 3 days in to February, so it's kind of difficult to chose a 'favourite of the month', but i'm going to go with my ASOS Fear chunky sandals. I just want to wear them all the time!

4. Favourite 3 instagrams?

This won't be hard! (I'll list the usernames).

1. charlottefisher
2. heypaigey
3. kyliejenner

(Check them all out, my fashion inspirations!)

5. Favourite 3 blogs?

6. What inspired you to start a blog?

I've been watching YouTube fashion/beauty videos for around 3 years now, and i've always wanted to start my own channel, (which one day I will eventually do when i'm confident enough!), and I started to view peoples blogs as well as their channels and thought it would be a good idea to start off! I was also massively inspired by other bloggers and it made me want to show how I style myself as well.

7. Would you rather have no legs or no arms?

Oh my, I don't know! I don't think I could cope! I might say no legs because with arms I could still put food in my mouth and do my makeup etc.

8. What is your dream career?

I used to want to be an actress since I could remember, but for a good few years now I've decided I really want to do something in fashion. I did some personal styling at Next which was fun, but I think i'd rather a career within fashion journalism. I'm thinking of doing a fashion course at university, so i'll be looking more into that soon!

9. Why is Charlotte Fisher such a legend?

Her fashion sense is incredible! I'm hugely inspired by her style and it gives me the confidence to wear what I want to wear, rather than wearing things that people would find 'strange'.

10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Having a full-time career doing something to do with fashion/fashion journalism. Perhaps living in London and continuing running my blog and even a YouTube channel! OH and having thousands of chihuahuas hehehe.

11. What would you do if there was a zombie apocalypse?

I WOULD DIE. End of.

My Questions

1. Top 5 favourite bloggers?
2. Have you been to America? If so, where?
3. Favourite TV series?
4. Have you ever met a famous person?
5. Biggest fear?
6. How often do you buy clothes etc? (online and in-store)
7. Have you lived in more than one place?
8. Fashion inspirations?
9. What got you into blogging?
10. Ever been mistaken for a celebrity, or told you look like one?
11. Favourite print?

PEACHY PASTELS OOTD

It's my Dad's birthday today and we all went out to Nandos, (which was so so good), and since the weather wasn't as awful as it could be, I decided to take some pictures of my outfit.
I'm seriously all about pastels and plaid at the moment so I absolutely love this outfit, plus, with me being me and eating EVERYTHING in sight when I go out to eat, a slouchy top is essential!
I'm wearing my chunky cream River Island coat that I wear to death, as you can probably tell with how shabby it's looking now!
My top\jumper is from Primark, (which is currently my go to place for on-trend and low in price). It goes so well with this gorgeous thick plaid skirt from New Look that I bought the other day when I was 'just browsing'. I wasn't sure if I'd actually like it that much considering how thick the material is, (incase it looked 'bunchy'), but it's actually really lovely on, however I wouldn't tuck anything into it because that would be far too thick.
Once again, i'm wearing my ASOS 'Fear' chunky sandals in black like in my last outfit post, (you can view a closer image here).

The final piece is my new Cheap Monday pleather 'paper bag' clutch bag, which fits basically anything inside and has removable straps! Simple, yet perfect.
