Pretty In Peach

Hello! I'm back today with an outfit post! Wow, it's been months! I briefly updated my disappearance on my previous post, so I won't go into it now.

I've had a bit of a nightmare trying to get these pictures up. My laptop wasn't having it, I had to use a different camera, and I had to resort to my back garden as the outdoors wasn't agreeing with me. But nonetheless, here is my first outfit post in a while!

I decided to style this set up all smart n stuff' with a pair of fancy heels, however it's just as simple to pop on a pair of sandals and head out in the sun! (A more preferable option, in my opinion!). I love the floaty style of this two-piece, however I tucked in the top to add some shape to my waist. If you're a busty lady, I'd probably recommend sizing up in the top as it's squishing my chest, but everything is true to size other than that. I believe it's on sale at the moment, so go pick yourself up a bargain!

Like most girls, I'm OBSESSED with anything lace-up at the moment. I mean, who doesn't want to channel so Kardashian vibes?!
These shoes are from EGO, and they're absolutely stunning. I will say though, they take some serious 'heel wearing will-power'.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I do apologise about the quality of the photos, I seemed to have misplaced my 50mm lens! I've found it now though, so my next outfit pictures will be of higher quality.. I hope!

Finding Happiness, Independently

Well, hello! It's been suuuuuch a long time since I sat down and gave my blog some attention. This is due to so, so many reasons, (which I won't delve into), but recently I've been inspired to get back into writing. I haven't totally been neglecting beauty and fashion over the past few months, as I've been diving into my YouTube channel head first, but I just wasn't up to going outside and shooting pictures of myself when I couldn't bare to look back at them. I'm not 100% ready to throw myself back behind the camera 'outfit post' wise, but I thought I'd type up something that's so important to me.

So, 'finding happiness'. What even defines happiness? Everyone has their own personal happiness. Some find it through reading, some find it through sport, some find it through watching their favourite show, it's different for everybody.

Today, I'm talking about finding happiness within yourself, on your own. Yes, it's important to enjoy other peoples company, but it's so much more important, in-fact it's imperative that you can enjoy your own.
I'm going to be honest, I'm no expert, but damn do I put my heart and soul into this every single day. From the minute I wake up, to the minute I fall asleep, my brain is on overtime trying to find peace within myself, and enjoy my own company.
I saw a therapist/mental health lady around a year ago, and she told me how important it was to be at peace with myself. I never got the hang of it, I never thought it was necessary. Anyway, as time has gone on, I'm learning more and more about myself, and something that I've learnt is that I must find happiness, independently.

Here's a few things I do by myself that give my life something, that make that second more bearable than the previous.

1. Watching YouTube videos. I love watching channels where the YouTuber has a natural sense of humour, but also entrances me with pretty beauty products and eyeshadow tutorials. To name a few, KathleenLights, Grav3yardgirl, MannyMUA, BeccaRose.
I also love a good comedy YouTuber, e.g. Shane Dawson, Jenna Marbles, Glozell.

2. My dog. Whether it be a few seconds, or 5 minutes, I love playing with my dog. I'm not so sure he's as in to is as I am, but I just love squishing his beautiful little face!! It melts my heart.

3. A spring clean. Now I know that this really isn't everybody's idea of fun, but it's something I can really sink my teeth into. It occupies my mind, and the reward is a fresh, clean room! (Regardless of it lasting all of 5 minutes!).

4. A car journey with the window open. This is something I've loved since being a child. I love sticking my head out of the window, listening to old music, new music, just music. It clears my head for a period of time, and even puts things into perspective for me.

5. TV! Goodness me, those Kardashians do it for me. I can't get enough of watching their ups and downs and everything in between. Hollyoaks is another one. 7pm, Monday to Friday, you know where I'll be.

6. Applying make-up. Even on a day off, where I've no plans, I'll just sit in my room and apply make-up. I love experimenting and creating new looks.

7. The gym! Yes, I only joined around a week ago, but it's such an accomplishment for me. I attending my first class, and I don't think I'll be looking back! Okay, I am officially crippled, but y'know what they say, no pain, no gain!

There's definitely more that I can't think of off the top of my head, but these are things that bring me joy inside. I can't tell you how important it is to find happiness within yourself. Just for one minute, imagine that everybody in your life disappeared for a week, a month, whatever, just imagine it. What do you do? What interests do you have? What do you do for happiness? It is so not easy, but it's a life skill I daren't forget. There's a big difference in loneliness and independence. Be independent. Find something you love and run with it. Get to know who you are. Explore yourself.

I hope this post made some kind of sense. It's almost 1am, my brother is off to Italy in the morning for 2 weeks and I'm really at a loose end on how to cope. I suffer with anxiety in far too many ways, and I don't always enjoy other peoples company as it can get a little unsettling, so scoping out ways to enjoy my own company is such an important part of my life. Anyway, I hope this rang some bells for some people. I'd love to know some of the things that make you independently happy, so please comment them down below! I'm hoping to get back into my fashion blogging soon, so I shall be back with those at some point!

Lots of love x

All The Pink

Firstly, I must apologise for my lack in outfit posts recently. I've been struggling with body confidence, so taking pictures of myself isn't really what I felt comfortable doing! I've mostly been focusing on my YouTube at the moment, which I'll link here! I did eventually suck it up, and go out and shoot these new beautiful clothes.

I sadly couldn't attend the Linzi S/S15 press day, but from looking at the pictures, I was immediately drawn to these pink and white heeled sandals. Of course, I had to have them! As they're a block heel, I did anticipate a little more comfort than your average heeled sandal, and I was further impressed with the padded sole! Literally, I didn't want to take them off! They're a perfect holiday shoe, and I seriously need the other colours they do!

Obviously, I couldn't not pair some pink with these shoes, so I opted for my new 'Kim K' pink waterfall waistcoat. This does have a belt to cinch you in at the waist, but I loved the way it floated in the wind, and it looked so much better on me open! I've seen these all over the place, but mine is from Missy Empire.. for £21.99!! For real. I was pleasantly surprised!
I'd highly recommend checking them out, they do so many pieces for a fraction of the price you'd expect from other stores!

I didn't really want too much else going on with the outfit, so I went for a simple, 'white tee and jeans' look. I also slung on my teeny tiny pink and white Grafea to tie in all of the colours!

New Venture: YouTube

So the big day finally came! After about 2 or so years of wanting to start my own YouTube channel, I finally uploaded. April 9th was the day I uploaded my very first video!
Honestly, it was so much fun. I enjoyed every second, even the cringey, 'watching my videos back' part! I'm currently in the process of uploading my second video, but here is the first if you'd like to watch!

Please like and subscribe, I'd really appreciate it! I'd also love any feedback, and any video suggestions in the comments!!

Feelin' Fancy

I've not done a 'fancy shmancy' post in a while, so when Quiz got in contact with me in regards to collaborating with their occasion wear, I jumped at the chance.
I absolutely love getting all glammed up, it's just a shame I don't often have the opportunity too!

I opted for this uber cute halter-neck monochrome jumpsuit. I love the fact that it's a wide-leg jumpsuit, super flattering, and super comfortable. It doesn't actually have a zip, but the material is so slinky that it just 'glides' on to your body.. if that makes sense??
A favourite of mine, (and my mothers), is the silver embellishment at the waist. I tried my best to get a close up, but the camera really doesn't do it justice!

Actually, another favourite of mine is the padding on the chest area.. yay for no ugly bra straps!!!

I popped on my teal pointed heels, mostly as an attempt to compliment my hair!

This is such a gorgeous piece for your wardrobe, and it's price point is dreamy at under £40. (Yep, for real).

50 Shades of Grey

I guess I kind of went overboard with wearing grey.. but I quite like it!
I shot these straight after work, so apologies for looking a little dishevelled.. (ah, retail).
I've been loving these 'Kim K' style tops, and I also have one in black. Although they're not an off-the-shoulder top, I like to wear it that way as it just won't fall properly on me otherwise! This one is from Miss Pap, and is such a bargain. It's super versatile as well, a top you can wear in the evening, but also chuck over a bikini on the beach.

Pretty much the rest of my outfit is from Forever 21. I recently had a little splurge on there, and ended up with quite a few grey pieces. I love cropped, high-waisted trousers. They're literally my favourite thing to wear all year! These were so cheap as well at £15, so I got them in good ol' black too!

I popped on my cream H&M fedora, and I really like the way it looks with the shades of grey!

Suit n Sliders

Another beautiful summery day today, a perfect shooting day! I recently picked up this suit from New Look, after a long winded search for a reasonable priced white pinstripe suit. Little did I realise that the trousers from this set, were the exact same trousers I picked up in the ASOS sale at the beginning of the year, damn wholesale! I've already featured the trousers in a previous post, but now I can finally style it as a set!

Although the jacket implies I'm going for more 'put together' look, I pulled that right apart with these amazing monochrome sliders! These are also from New Look and were so cheap. I love the whole 'smart-casual' vibe, and since I didn't have any trainers that I would put with this, I opted for the very marmite choice of sliders.

A Chilly Spring Day

As you'll have seen, I've collaborated with Miss Pap numerous time throughout my time blogging, and now I'm excited to be regularly blogging for them! This weeks post is all around these gorgeous staple white ripped jeans. I've wanted a pair for ages, and I think you all know how much I rave about Miss Pap jeans, they're second to none! They're so thick, yet still maintain comfort with that 'easy jean' feel.
White jeans are perfect for Spring/Summer, and I love that these have rips in them, adding a little edge!

I just chucked on this poncho which I've had for a while, it was a little chilly whilst shooting, so even though it's short sleeved, the thin knit was enough to shield me from the cold.
I also popped on my new criss-cross sliders which I picked up from Forever 21 for an event. They're SO perfect for me as I seriously can't handle a heel for long, but I don't always like wearing 'just' flats, so the fact that these have a thicker and shorter heel is amazing, and I can confirm that I can last all day in them!

Ps, I switched up the location of these pictures half-way through as I wasn't feelin' my look, can I live?
