The Vintage Vamp - Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette

As I was spending some time in London for London Fashion Week, it only seemed right that I hit Oxford Street and did a little damage to my bank balance..

After having this particular brand shoved down my throat by endless bloggers and youtubers, I'd built up quite a wish-list. I finally took the plunge on Saturday and picked up my first Charlotte Tilbury product, in the form of this stunning berry toned eyeshadow quad.

I spent a fair bit of time swatching all of the different shades, making sure I was selecting the best palette for me, (after all, £38 for four eyeshadows.. there's no room for error!). I happily settled on 'The Vintage Vamp' quad. I've been looking for some berry shades to experiment with, and these are exactly what I had in mind.

I love a sparkly lid, so in the look I've created, I did actually use a shimmery pigment from Make Up Store, but the rest of my eyeshadow is down to this luxury quad.

As you can see, the palette is super wearable, and whilst I've gone for a more muted look, the shades are 100% build-able and can create a more intense, smokier look.
I love selecting a shade I've used on the top of my eye, and smoking it below my lower lash-line as it pulls the whole look together, and gives it a seamless finish.

I'm thoroughly impressed with my first Charlotte Tilbury product, and I'm so ready to try out some more, (well, once my bank balance has been replenished!).

Has anyone else tried any Charlotte Tilbury products? What do you think? What should I try next?

BH COSMETICS GALAXY CHIC PALETTE

If you're a follower of my Instagram, you'll definitely be aware of my recent obsession with eyeshadows. If not, follow me (@fashi0nbynicole), and you'll see what I mean. I just can't get enough of a shiny new palette, particularly in bright colours! After watching Shannon's (Shaaanxo) tutorial of her BH Cosmetics eye look, I was straight on the website and made a rather large order. My package arrived yesterday, and I was even more impressed with the products in person. For the price, you'd expect it to be okay, but these products are of similar quality to more expensive brands I use!

I definitely plan on featuring my products in a fair few posts, but I thought I'd start on my absolute favourite of the lot. The 'Galaxy Chic' palette. These colours are out of this world.. (ha, get it?!). No seriously, I decided to swatch a few of my favourites to show you, bare in mind this is just one sweep of the product!

How dreamy?! (From L to R; Venus, Comet & Milky Way)

This palette is full of highly pigmented baked shadows, all of which are packed with shimmer. I've been playing with different looks since I got this, and I love using the mint green, ('Comet'), with the marble effect cream/blue, ('Earth'). If anyone is interested in me doing some looks, let me know!

Yes, I agree, shipping costs are a bit of nightmare, but as I ordered quite a lot of products, I didn't mind tooooo much. This palette works out at around £5, and it's an excellent addition to my collection. You can buy it here whilst it's on sale! Or just have a nosey at the website, I guarantee you'll end up racking up quite a wish-list!

I hope you've enjoyed this post! Let me know if any of you have tried out BH Cosmetics? Or if you will be after seeing this post?post signature

PINSTRIPES

Oooh, an outfit post! It's been a little while since I've shot one of these, and thats purely down to lack of time, and the fact that I've been falling in love with all things make-up! Don't worry though, I still love fashion and will always be posting outfits! I'm actually going to London Fashion Week next week for the first time, eek!! I'm so excited! Expect lots of pictures!

Anyway, on to the outfit! I'm obsessed with pinstripes, and I've acquired quite a few pieces in the print, (mostly tailoring). One pinstripe suit is not enough for me, and I'm always after another! I'm currently lusting after a black/navy on white set, so hopefully I'll get a hold of one of those soon.
As soon as I spotted this on Missguided, and I was like.. YEP. I've not stopped wearing the trousers. They're SO comfortable. Although they're quite clearly a tailored trouser, the material is fairly stretchy. Perfect eating trousers! I know, how sad. I do genuinely wear them every time we go out for a meal though as I can go all out and eat all the burgers in the world and still breathe!! (Kinda). The bralet is something I'm definitely saving for the warmer months, but popping it under a snuggly coat is totally acceptable.

I think I'm slightly confused about the weather with this outfit to be honest.. I mean, I'm wearing a big coat.. and sliders???? They're cute, so whatever. It works in my head!
I love these rose-gold metallic sliders from Primark. They're literally a dream. The sole is super spongey and comfortable, something I fully appreciate in a shoe. I did get a little ahead of myself, and I picked up a couple of pairs of summer appropriate shoes, but I know they're going to fly out when the sun arrives, so I'm all stocked up! They do them in a few more colours, and I can see myself swaying towards picking those up too. Oops!

I hope you all enjoyed this post! Let me know what you'd like to see more of, beauty, fashion, whatever!

FINE FEATHER LASH SERUM - BEFORE AND AFTER

If you've been following me on Instagram, you'll have seen me post this picture four weeks ago! I was super excited to receive this lash serum, and I promised to update you all! Now I'm a very impatient person, so four weeks dedication to a product seemed a little 'blah' to me, but sweet Jesus, even after one week I noticed a difference in the length of my lashes. That was motivation enough for me to run the full course!

My eyelashes are naturally short, stubby, and well.. gross. I'm pretty much willing to try anything to see a little growth!
You simply apply the product to the base of your upper eyelashes, and this can be done in one clean sweep. As this is such a simple, low maintenance product, I found it incredibly easy to keep up daily applications. This slotted in nicely to my night-time skincare routine.

RESULTS

Before

After

Wow. As you can see, in the 'before' image, I basically have no eyelashes. Eurgh. In the second image, four weeks later, I have longer.. and darker (?) eyelashes. I haven't got any product on my lashes, so it's possibly the serum that's made them darker, woop!

After just under two weeks, friends at work were commenting on my eyelashes, and I couldn't help but sing this products praises! At just under three weeks, my boyfriend was noticing and commenting! I'm extremely impressed with this product, and I use it every other day still to maintain results. I definitely will repurchase when I run out, however each tube is supposed to last around 6 months, so I still have a long way to go!

You can purchase the Fine Feather Lash Serum with this link, and enjoy free UK delivery!

Has anyone else tried this product? Or any other lash serums? What do you think? Will you be trying this too?

INTERGALACTIC EYE MAKEUP LOOK

Quite an impromptu post today! I hadn't intended on taking pictures of my look today, but as I had plenty of time to get ready before work, I began experimenting!

I'm a huge fan of Shaaanxo, and her make-up looks always inspire me, and I learn so much from them, so I decided to create a similar look to one of her own tutorials. I rarely experiment with colour, but I am trying to branch out, so I went for her 'Purple and Blue' eye look.

I started with my Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden, and placed that all over my lid, up to my brow bone.

I then took my Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush from the 'Nic's Picks' collection, and put 'Shade 24' from the MUA 24 Shade Immaculate Collection Palette into my crease, and slightly over the outer corner of my eye.

From the same palette, I took 'Shade 10', and patted it on my eyelid using the brush that came with the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette.

I then took the same brush, and to add some glitter/highlight, I patted on Bare Minerals Glimmer Eyecolour in 'Chameleon' in the centre of my lid.

Using my other Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush, I dampened it with some water, and applied the Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow in 'Intergalactic' into the outer corner of my eye.

I then highlighted the inner corners of my eyes with 'Shade 1' from the same MUA palette with my Elf 'Eye Crease Brush'.

Going back to 'Shade 24' which I used in my crease, I then took my Real Techniques 'Eyeliner Brush', (again, from the Nic's Picks collection), and lined my lower lash line, also joining it together with my outer corner.

To do my winged liner, I used the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in 'Black', and applied that with the Real Techniques Silicone Liner Brush.

I hope you enjoy this make-up look, and let me know if you try it yourself! Should I do more make-up tutorials?
