STRIPES & BURGUNDY

Unfortunately, there was very few images featuring my face I could use for this blog post and I was having a bloody awful time with my camera. Basically I think my memory card corrupted, and I only realised when I got outside to shoot, so it was all a big faff! My face was similar to the furious red emoji face.. not good.

This was the outfit I wore on New Year's Eve for a night in with our friends. The only difference being I had a black velvet top on, which is currently in the wash due to major cocktail spillage, whoops.

I love all things striped, so when I spotted this blazer on sale on Boohoo, it was a no brainer.
I wouldn't personally wear it as a coat in this weather, but for dashing from the car to the indoors, it's totally acceptable.

As we were just chilling indoors, I didn't want to be all 'high-heels, short-skirt', so I opted for my super comfy Miss Pap jeans. I didn't want my outfit to be tooooo dull though, so I pretty much doused myself in anything and everything burgundy!
OH! Anybody notice anything????.. I have a new Grafea! I am now the proud owner of the Wine Hari rucksack.
This was a huuuge surprise from my boyfriend for Christmas, and I've literally used it every single day since. So 2014 saw me get my first Grafea bag.. and my fifth! Go me.
I wonder how many I'll accumulate in 2015?

Anyway, I do apologise for the lack of pictures, but my face isn't that interesting anyway.

BOOHOO WISHLIST 19.09.2014

I've been majorly crushing on Boohoo recently, but I've just forked out on a holiday to Tunisia with my boyfriend, (yay!), so I can't afford to buy anything until payday! I may not be able to purchase these as of yet, but I thought it rude not to share with you guys! Let's hope these items are cosy in my wardrobe in a weeks time!

ORANGES & LEOPARD PRINT

I'm currently writing up this post whilst on my break at work as I'm so so busy at the moment, but I love blogging too much to let it slip! So this is dedication!

Obviously, when ASOS announced there 25% student discount promotion, I was all over it, and by 10am I had spent £115, oops! It's not a problem though, as I managed to aquire some gorgeous pieces for a much lower price!
I love the River Island high-waisted belted trousers, and when I spotted these, it was love. Well, I liked them anyways. They fit perfectly, and are so cute for A/W with the orange flowers, mixed in with some good ol' leopard print.
I was on my way to my boyfriends house so I wanted to be comfortable, so a loose crop and duster coat was an obvious choice! This is my absolute favourite top at the moment, and it goes with everything as it's so simple and black! I'm extremely tempted to pick it up in a few more colours!

Well isn't this bag just a match-made with this outfit? I love clear box clutches, and I'm surprised this is the first time I'm owning one! This one is from an online store called Beau Boutique, where they sell loads of branded pieces! (Such as Motel!). You can remove the gold chain and hold it as a clutch, but I prefer keeping it on as I don't have to worry about misplacing it!

I've been writing this whilst trapsing up and down the place as my local bakery didn't put my damn cookie in my bag!!!! It's not even that nice so I'm extremely dissatisfied. Wah.

CLASHING FLORALS

Since the sun has decided to show itself recently, I decided it heavily inappropriate not to debut some of these gorgeous summery pieces I'd had hidden away. (Obviously layered with a duster, it's not that hot!).

I think it's fairly obvious this isn't a matching two-piece, but it certainly works as one in my opinion! I purchased this from Boohoo, and each piece was a bargain!
I will say, the skort is pretty darn short, so the duster was essential for more than one reason!

I'm rapidly going from kimono obsessed, to duster coat obsessed. I own three to-date, but let's see how long it is until that number increases.
This one is from Primark, and was an absolute steal for £17! I bought this after falling in love with the plain black one, so I'm so pleased I managed to get a hold of it in white before it sold out! I find duster coats are perfect for this transitional stage of the seasons, where a coat is too much, but going bare is a no-no! (Also, they're pretty good for covering up, when your skirt is a little short!).

I popped on my lenkas, and white pleather rucksack to finish off the clean white look!
Although, I seriously wish it was a dreamy white Grafea over my shoulder!
One day, one day.

THE LILAC-Y BLUES

Original blog post name, right? I'm sorry, my creative side has shied away so it appears!
Anyway, notice something different? Yep, I have ombré hair! (For the millionth time). I always seem to want to revert back to my lighter ends during the warmer months and have done for the past three years!

So, the outfit! A month or so ago, I placed a rather hefty order on Missguided which included two of their pretty pastel bralets. I'm actually surprised one of them has only just featured on my blog considering how much I love them! I love this style of top, however I feel it suits those with less of a chest as I look like a 'porn star', (choice of words, courtesy of my mother). Also, I really should have sized up as the 'cups' just aren't covering my chest enough, as you can tell. Nonetheless, I love this top and I want more, especially the neon palm print one!

This skirt is another past order of mine that hasn't seen blogging daylight yet! I ordered three colours in this little number as the price was just irresistible.. for a weak gal anyway.
It's a lovely, thick scuba material, which is my favourite to wear at the moment. The skirt is from my beloved Boohoo, and they stock 5 or 6 colours I believe!

My earrings compliment the skirt so nicely. I bought these when ASOS had their 20% offer on and I completely forgot I had this gorgeous skirt to pair it with! To date, they're possibly my favourite statement earrings I own as they feel so expensive, (and look it too!).

My coat is of course my Missguided favourite, and my shoes are the shoes that never leave my feet at the moment! A perfect pair of white Birkenstock dupes from Topshop. They're literally the most comfy shoes I have ever worn, and go with practically anything.
And finally, my hat! My hat is my faaaaavourite piece in this whole outfit. Since wearing my black fedora to death, I decided on picking up a floppy hat in a summery colour, and what better colour than lilac, ey? And for £15, it would be rude not to!

YELLOW CHECK CO-ORD

I'd been after this gorgeous yellow check co-ord since I laid my eyes on it, so naturally on payday, into my basket it went, (along with some amazing 'Jeffrey Campbell-esque' boots.. oops!).
I've always loved the look of figure hugging co-ords, however since i'm not the biggest fan of my body, I don't fancy strutting around leaving little to the imagination, (although I hope one day i'll build the confidence to be up there with the best of them!).
What really drew me to this piece was the 'relaxed' fit of the crop top, and the gorgeous figure flattering skater skirt. Perfect.
When i'd purchased this I hadn't realised there was a slash down the back of the top and at first I was a little apprehensive about keeping it, but its actually not as bad as I thought and only reveals a little peak of your back!
The woven tweed material makes it look a whole lot more expensive than it actually was and a lot smarter than i'd expected.
I'd decided to finish this look off with my sparkly clear jellies from JuJu. I have these, a black pair and a white pair and I just want every possible colour!! I'm currently eyeing up a couple of pairs from La Moda in their gorrrrgeous pastels.

(Apologies for my hair.. theres no reason for it, it's just dreadful).
