Okay, so I suppose I should point this out before people think I haven't quite noticed..
Yes, I am fully aware that my hair is a completely failed attempt at blue-y green ombre. If it wasn't for the fact I've just answered the door to a magnificent Grafea delivery, I would be one grumpy lady.
I do have a consultation at the hairdressers today, so fingers crossed I'm not stuck with mould hair for much longer!
Moving on to the outfit, I purchased this as one of my options to wear on Christmas Day, but as the day arrived, I opted for comfy trousers and a t-shirt.. whoops. I couldn't not share it with you guys though as it's so pretty!
The suit is from Pretty Little Thing, and is on sale for around £7.50 now.. eek! I almost want to purchase it again for that price! (I won't though.. that would be ridiculous).
My shoes are also from Pretty Little Thing, and are a fabulous addition to my growing fluffy-shoe collection. Let's hope they stay white!
I'd had my eye on this sassy little clutch bag for absolutely ages, and after a lot of umm-ing and ah-ing, I decided to buy it, only to find it was out of stock! For some reason I randomly checked it again, and it was back in stock! (and on sale, might I add), so I obviously had to buy it. Does anyone else get more of an urge to buy something when it's out of stock? I think it's the child me in me wanting things I can't have!
The bag itself isn't very spacious, but makes such a cute accessory.
Unfortunately, there was very few images featuring my face I could use for this blog post and I was having a bloody awful time with my camera. Basically I think my memory card corrupted, and I only realised when I got outside to shoot, so it was all a big faff! My face was similar to the furious red emoji face.. not good.
This was the outfit I wore on New Year's Eve for a night in with our friends. The only difference being I had a black velvet top on, which is currently in the wash due to major cocktail spillage, whoops.
I love all things striped, so when I spotted this blazer on sale on Boohoo, it was a no brainer.
I wouldn't personally wear it as a coat in this weather, but for dashing from the car to the indoors, it's totally acceptable.
As we were just chilling indoors, I didn't want to be all 'high-heels, short-skirt', so I opted for my super comfy Miss Pap jeans. I didn't want my outfit to be tooooo dull though, so I pretty much doused myself in anything and everything burgundy!
OH! Anybody notice anything????.. I have a new Grafea! I am now the proud owner of the Wine Hari rucksack.
This was a huuuge surprise from my boyfriend for Christmas, and I've literally used it every single day since. So 2014 saw me get my first Grafea bag.. and my fifth! Go me.
I wonder how many I'll accumulate in 2015?
Anyway, I do apologise for the lack of pictures, but my face isn't that interesting anyway.
As mentioned in my previous post, I've been doing a lot of shopping on Pretty Little Thing recently, and I'm 100% obsessed.
I picked up this glittery matching suit during the Black Friday weekend, and got it for only £30! I'd had my eye on it ever since it dropped, so I'm super pleased it's now in my wardrobe. I was expecting it to be very tough and fitted, but it's the most comfortable relaxed material, almost a very fine knitted feel! I've found it's come up a little larger than I expected, but that's fine as I like my things looser anyway!
They also sell it in white, and I so so badly want/need it!
Since the suit is quite jazzy, I decided to pair it with my Missguided feather crop top. I had originally purchased the full co-ord, but found the skirt wasn't particularly flattering on my figure. I absolutely love the top though, so I didn't part with that.
I think adding this crop has made this a very 'Christmas party' suitable outfit. I've been collecting quite a few dressy pieces recently, so I plan on creating a little 'Christmas Party Outfit' lookbook/series.. what do you think?
My shoes are actually a summer favourite from Missguided. They're so comfortable, and the leather, (or 'pleather'), is incredibly soft.
Since me and my boyfriend luckily had a day off together, he very kindly offered to shoot a few sets of pictures for me! Yay!
I brought my dog with me today, and he hated it, oops. He's not really an 'outdoorsy' dog, preferring the comfort of his own home with lots of warmth and snuggles. I don't blame him in this instance, the bitter cold was atrocious. We soldiered on, however!
I've had this Pretty Little Thing matching suit for a couple of weeks now, and it has been worn a little too much. It's my go-to outfit at the moment, and it's seen me through the Christmas Markets, a very exciting photoshoot with Branded Lab PR, a day's shopping, and numerous other occasions. It would be inappropriate of me not to show it to you all, as it's been such a favourite of mine. Although you can't see it because of my jumper, the trousers are high-waisted and incredibly flattering. I find it such an easy suit to wear as it consists of two very basic colours, therefore I can throw in any colour I like!
As it is undeniably cold, I paired suit with my new H&M jumper. I wasn't particularly pleased to be spending £30 on a jumper, but I went back to it on four different occasions, so obviously I couldn't leave it behind.
I've really been loving Pretty Little Thing at the moment, and frequently find myself browsing all of their beautiful clothes. I made another purchase over the Black Friday weekend, and I'll be showing that in my next post!
BAG - PRIMARK
SHOES - PRIMARK
I've always loved the 'minimal' look on other people, but I always feel I look a little dull when I try to rock it myself. After slowly collecting quite a few basics, I decided it was time to put an outfit together and try it myself! Now my wardrobe is bulking with muted shades and versatile pieces, and I absolutely love it. More often than not, simple pieces are cheaper.. bonus!
I've been trying to find the perfect longline sleeveless blazer, but as I've never tried one before, I couldn't justify spending Zara prices on one! Stumbling across this perfect little black one on Pretty Little Thing was the answer to my prayers. I also picked up the matching trousers, but I use those for work at the minute! (Boring). They currently sell them in mustard and cobalt blue, but I'm hoping they bring a white or camel out soon!
Instead of a pair of plain black jeans or trousers, I decided to pair this with my new faux leather trousers from South Avenue to spruce things up! I've been seeing a lot of faux leather doing the rounds this season, so I figured it was time to try it myself! They're high-waisted which is perfect, and they're so incredibly comfortable. I'm someone who hates restriction when it comes to clothing, and these are perfectly flexible for my needs.
(Ps, I have a 20% off code for you all to use on South Avenue, 'NICOLE20'), you're welcome!
To tie in with my plain white tee from Primark, I popped on my Missguided pointed brogues!
I hope I managed to kiiiiiind of pull off this look.. let me know what you think!
PS, apologies for the pictures. The wind was/is absolutely ridiculous.
