A CASUAL PASTEL PINK DAY

Ah! So the weather has noticeably changed since my last post, yay! Of course, that meant I was a lot more eager to get outside and shoot some pictures.

I was recently paid, and bit by bit, i've been spending my wages. I'm waiting on a couple of orders, but today I went into town with my boyfriend to change our money up for our holiday on Sunday, which meant I did a little shopping! One of the pieces I picked up, was this gorgeous little pink gingham shirt from H&M. I'm sure i've seen a couple of bloggers in it now via Instagram, but it looks a lot nicer in person! You can button it up to the top, but I think it looks cuter with a few buttons un-done for a more casual look.

I'm wearing a pair of the 'vintage blue' Joni jeans, but I won't talk about those too much because really, who doesn't own a pair?! I've also featured these pastel pink jellies before, but they are so, SO soft! I own three pairs of JuJu jellies, and these are by far the softest pair, and yes, that's a good thing as you don't want them to rub your feet!
I've featured this bag possibly a few months ago, but it's still one of my favourites. It's just a slouchy PU leather pastel pink backpack from Primark, super bargain!

You could dress this up a little more with a statement necklace and some rings, but I didn't actually own anything I had in mind! I think it would look perfect with a statement light pink jewel necklace.

This will be one of my last few outfit posts as I go away on Sunday for two weeks and I have a lot to do! But I have a wish-list i'd like to get up before then, and hopefully another outfit post, but time will tell!
Has anyone got any nice holidays planned?

COLOUR BLOCK BASICS

How beautiful has the weather been recently?! As much as I hate the sticky heat, when it cools down a little, it's just bliss.
I had the MOST fun shooting these pictures today. Me and my boyfriend took the opportunity to search for some new locations to shoot in, and we came across a tree swing which glides over a somewhat drying up river. Oh, the photo opportunities! (Which I fully took advantage of!).

I mentioned this in my previous post, but as i'm going away soon, I needed to stock up on some floaty crop tops, and this is one of the pretty pink ones I picked up from ASOS! At only £8, it didn't break the bank. It's such a versatile piece, especially for me as I like to skim over my middle area, so I wear them with pretty much anything!

I've been after this little PVC number for quite some time now, and I finally have it! Let me just say, PVC and heat... not a good combination! Hello sweaty Betty. But on a positive note, it's super flattering and as it's a thick material, it's very forgiving as far as A-line skirts go!

To complete the 'colour-block' look, I popped on my pastel pink jellies. I looove pastel blues and pinks together. They're so pretty and girly!
I'm off to continue to enjoy this beautiful weather, I hope you're all enjoying it too!

SO. MUCH. FUN.

PASTEL COLOURBLOCK

On an 'accidental' shopping spree in the Trafford Centre, I spotted these UH-MAZING American Apparel style shorts in Forever 21. They're literally the exact same as the AA ones, down to the last thread! Of course, they were a fraction of the price so I couldn't say no. Let's hope the high-street stores continue bringing out these higher-end gems!

I loooove ribbed crop tops, and I own quite a few now, (including my b-e-a-utiful pink Missguided one!). They have more edge than a regular crop top, but they're still subtle and very wearable. I love this little blue number, however it's very see-through, so I do apologise for the sight of my bra. If anyone could give me tips on what type of bra/what to wear underneath, that would be great!

I wanted lots of statement pastel jewellery to go with this look, so I used the only two pieces I have! My necklace includes almost every pastel colour you could imagine, and my earrings are a simple mint green. Perfect.
As my outfit/jewellery is the focus of this look, I toned down the shoes with some fun glittery jellies.

MONOCHROME WITH A TOUCH OF PASTEL

I never normally take any form of pictures on the same day I have work as I generally need to invest all my energy in getting through the day, but today I seemed to be full of life, so I decided to get outside in the lovely weather.

A few weeks back I purchased the two-piece version of this cover-up which i'd been pining after for the longest time, but when I actually received it, the fit wasn't quite right on me and the top was huge. I decided on swapping it for the dress version which I figured i'd get a lot more wear out of, and I haven't looked back! It is rather see-through, so for 'non-beach' wear, I've put a plain white cami underneath to spare people the image.

Of course, there has to be a touch of pastel in my outfit. I almost, ALMOST put this with some black shoes but how was I to resist debuting my pastel pink, princess jellies?! I bought these while I was in London over the Easter weekend and they are the softest pair of Juju's that I own. Lilac and mint green, you're next to add to the collection!!

I felt this look would be a little too basic without this black felt fedora hat. I've got three of these now, and this is the only one that has made it to the outside world! The cut/style is perfect for me, and I pretty much wear it all the time. I have my eye on a camel/beige coloured one at the moment, i'm just deciding when to make my move.

The final pieces are my super huge black backpack and my (far too frequently featured) Primark sunglasses!
I own this bag in emerald green aswell, which is a perfect excuse for me to buy some clothes to match!

CASUAL SPRING DAISIES

Steering away from my usual pastel theme today with this super casual daytime Spring look.
As American Apparel is more often than not out of my price range, I asked for a couple of pieces from there for my 18th birthday last year. I received two denim circle skirts, one in lilac, and one in this beautiful sunflower print. When I laid my eyes on this print last year, I wanted to own every piece they made!
I love floaty tops, especially in crop-top form as it's extremely flattering, but also very summery. I tend to pick these up all over the place during the warmer months as they're so cheap and very wearable.
My favourite part of this outfit is of course the skirt! I love structured skater skirts as again, so flattering! They avoid all of your lumps and bumps and pull you in at your smallest point, a look I am all for! They are a little pricey, but I would definitely consider them an investment as the material is hard-wearing and the look is timeless.
JuJu jellies are perfect to finish off a casual look in my opinion, they're cute, comfy and very affordable.
Also, my dog seems to love getting in my pictures at the moment! He just stares at me and occasionally pushes his ball towards me..
