GINGHAM GALORE
A little bit of a cringe-worthy name for the blog post, but pretty self-explanatory, right?
When Missguided hosted their A/W14 preview event, of course the blogging world went crazy for the spectacular new collections. I spent hours trawling through all of the images from the event, and one set stood out to me in particular. I know I know, gingham may well be long gone with the summer months, but how irresistible is this two-piece?!
Ever since I spotted it on numerous fashion bloggers Instagram pages, I've been frequently refreshing the Missguided 'new in' page, awaiting it's arrival.
Okay, enough of the dramatic confessions of love to Missguided!
As you may have seen a few posts back, I own a very similar set in a different print, so of course I ordered this one in the same size. Unfortunately, the top in this one is a little snugger than I appreciate, so I wish I'd sized up! I think it's because this set isn't a scuba material, and is thicker with less stretch. Nonetheless, this is a winner in my eyes, and I think I'm converted to the 'midi' skirt?
You would think I owned this style of coat in every single colour, but nope! I was seriously lacking a grey coat in my wardrobe. Again, it's a Missguided number, and was a bit of an impulse buy, but then again.. I think most of my wardrobe is! I sized up in the coat, but I really wish I'd got my normal size as it's absolutely huuuuuuuuuuge!
They're selling them in pink, blue and camel too, but I have too many coats in those colours! (Then again, another one wouldn't hurt, right?).
I decided to wear my creepers with this look, which is a bit of a twist considering how girly the outfit is! I think it gives what could be a simple outfit, an androgynous edge!
